Discover the magic of
a design intensive.

Projects don’t have to feel like learning to drive a stick shift. (Start. Shift. Stall.)

Back and forth project revisions can drag on for weeks, and by the end, the excitement is gone and you just want it off your plate. There is another way, and it’s exactly how I’ve designed my VIP Design Day process — to keep the momentum high and get results faster.

VIP Design Days aren’t about rushing through your project — they’re based on solid planning, preparation, and focused collaboration to accomplish more in less time, so you can be on your way to attracting new customers sooner.

Working in a collaborative way with lots of feedback throughout the day

What’s possible in a day (or two)?

Lots! But how much we get done is based on a few factors: the project complexity, how quickly you respond on the Day, and how many changes are requested. You get me for the day (not the deliverables), so prep work and planning are crucial to laying the foundation for a successful day.

On the fence about VIP Design Days?

Here are some common questions I’m asked:

Can you really get it all done in a day?
Usually, yes. But it depends on a number of factors. When we first discuss the project, I’ll let you know if one day is realistic or if it may require multiple days (or half days) to complete. If there are delays in getting approvals or if the content or deliverables change on the fly, things may not be wrapped up in the estimated time.

What if we’re not finished at the end of the day?
Each Design Day engagement includes an extra hour to be used in the week following to tidy up loose ends. If there’s a substantial amount of work left to be completed, you can choose to book another day or half-day.

Why aren’t the deliverables guaranteed?
The Design Day is set up to give you access to my undivided attention. It allows you more control of the final results of our time together. That may mean we get even MORE done than expected, or it could mean we need a bit more time if the project grows beyond the original scope.

That’s the price for one day?
Well, it’s actually more than one day. The cost includes the time needed to really dig into the project details, review content and files, and get super clear on what we’ll be doing on the Day. The day itself is a concentrated workday (thanks to zero interruptions), meaning I’ll be able to accomplish about two days’ worth of work. Plus, there’s an additional hour included after the Day if we need to make adjustments or finalize files.

What if my boss needs to approve the final piece? I don’t think they’ll be able to review it on the same day.
When there are a lot of stakeholders involved, it can slow down the momentum of a VIP Design Day. Each situation is different, so we’ll need to talk it through and see if we can find ways to make it work. It may mean getting their approval on the base content ahead of time or splitting up the day to allow review time. Not every project will be a fit for a Design Day, and that’s why a Discovery Call is important.

Do I need to be available ALL day?
You don’t have to stare at your inbox waiting for my emails, but you should be pretty responsive, so plan for a lighter-than-usual workday. Remember — the sooner I hear back from you, the more we can accomplish. If you have back-to-back meetings, appointments, or something else that will render you unavailable for large amounts of time, then book your Design Day for a date when you’re more accessible.

Zero interruptions sound great. Why don’t you work this way every day?
A big reason why VIP Days go smoothly is the work that happens outside of the main day. On non-VIP Days, I answer emails, hold meetings, and do pre-and-post VIP Day work, as well as countless other admin tasks required to keep a business running.

Your project deserves my undivided attention.
